①吉川姓あり。大阪府大阪市、広島県三原市、山口県熊毛郡田布施町、奈良県大和郡山市小泉町が藩庁の小泉藩士に江戸時代にあった。
②創賜。福島県会津若松市追手町が藩庁の会津藩士に江戸時代にあった。同藩士は1643年（寛永20年）に同藩主の保科正之から「川を好む」との意味で賜ったと伝える。同藩士は「吉川」とも表記した。
