福島県、北海道、宮城県。カドマ、カドウマは稀少。茨城県取手市小文間付近（旧：文間）から発祥。鎌倉時代に記録のある地名。小文間はオモンマ。福島県相馬郡新地町谷地小屋の新地城に戦国時代、福島県相馬市中村が藩庁の相馬中村藩士に江戸時代にあった。同藩士の千葉県北部・茨城県南西部付近（旧：下総国）の文間荘からとする伝承の比定地。
