① Topography . From the Higashifuge gate of the gate division system that was in the Edo period. An example of the location of the gate. Kagoshima-ken Soo-shi Sueyoshicho Minamino- machi, Kagoshima-ken Kanoya-shi Eikawa-machi. The gate name is from Beppu, east.

② Kagoshima-ken Ichikikushikino-shi Originated from Beppu's smallcharu Higashibesu. There was a Higashi-ginto residence of the gate division system in the Edo period in the same place.
