Akita-ken Yurihonjou-shi . Akita-ken Yurihonjou-shi Birth of Nishimacho Nishijimacho. A place name with a record since the Warring States Period. The place name was named "Katano Ho", "Tadao (Catoo)". Meiji New surname by priest of Muneji temple of Soto sect in same place. It tells that the temple was founded by Mr. Nogo in 1534 (Astronomical 3 years). It was in the Sengoku period in the same place. My last name pronounced Catanoho, Catanowo.
