Origin of Toukyou-to Shinagawa-ku . A place name with a record since the Heian period. It was notation of "Shinagawa" in Hiroshima-ken during the Warring States Period. It is unknown whether Shinagawa exists. It was in the Kamakura period in the vicinity of Matsuyama (old: Nagai) of Miyagi-ken Oosaki-shi . Miyagi - ken Sendai - shi Izumi ku Park Sawa Nishinowaki tells that it is a pioneer. Good neighbor . Shimane-ken Oochi-gun Oonan-chou Shimogamiya is based.
