② variant of 広岡 . In Yamaguchi-ken Iwakuni-shi , Yamaguchi-ken Iwakuni-shi Yokoyama changed name "Hiroshi" which the Yoshikawa lord of the Iwakuni lord of the clan government used as a character in the early Edo period.

Originated from Ishikawa-ken Kanazawa-shi Hirooka (Hirooka (formerly Hirooka)). A place name with a record since the Kamakura period. The place name also pronounced Hiraoka.
