茨城県、宮城県、東京都。タニツも含む分布。神奈川県鎌倉市扇ガ谷にある亀ヶ谷坂から発祥。平安時代に記録のある地名。地名はカメガヤツ。宮城県仙台市青葉区川内が藩庁の仙台藩士、長野県小諸市丁が藩庁の小諸藩士、兵庫県豊岡市出石町内町が藩庁の出石藩士に江戸時代にあった。仙台藩士に伝承あり。茨城県水戸市杉崎町に分布あり。宮城県伊具郡丸森町耕野では神奈川県鎌倉市の谷津からと伝える。東京都八王子市梅坪町では北条氏の後裔と伝える。北条参照。
