北海道、宮城県、福島県。ホンウチは稀少。福島県福島市本内発祥。江戸時代に記録のある地名。宮城県仙台市青葉区川内が藩庁の仙台藩士、鳥取県鳥取市東町が藩庁の鳥取藩士に江戸時代にあった。福島県相馬郡新地町谷地小屋、鳥取県鳥取市浜坂に分布あり。
