① Aichi-ken Okazaki-shi Ohkiuchi Okochi, Okochi, Doncho, originated. Estimated place names established during the Heian period. Aichi-ken Nishio-shi Terajin Hachimangu Shrine (aka Okawa Shrine) in Terzatsu- cho West is said to have been built by Mr. Okochi from 1190 to 1199 (Year of Construction).
② Mie-ken Matsusaka-shi Okawachi (Okawachi) birthplace of the town. A place name with a record since the Warring States Period. The place name was also written as "Okawauchi" and there was also pronunciation of Okawashi.
③ Wakayama-ken Wakayama-shi Origin of Okochi (Okawachi). A place name with a record since the Edo period.
