The first element is "Purification" of the Jodoji temple of the temple name, the second element is from "Numazu" of Numazu of place name. Numazu was a place name with a record since the Edo period. Tell the place name that Mr. Numazu lived in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. In the temple it is the descendant of the samurai who came from Shizuoka-ken Numadzu-shi and tells that the place name was originally called "Mano".
