Saitama-ken , Toukyou-to . Yamanashi-ken Chuuou-shi Originated from the Upper Mijyo neighborhood (formerly Ooigawa-so). In the Kamakura period there is a place name recorded with the notation "Ogawa". The place name was also written as "Koikawa".
