② Shiga-ken Ootsu-shi birthplace of brocade. A place name with a record since the Heian period. The place name was also written as "Nishikiba", there was also pronunciation of Nishikori, Nishigori.

Baekje system ※. Osaka -fu near Kawachinagano-shi (old: Nishigori County) had brotherly name of brocade in Asuka period. Place name recorded in 699 (Emperor Bunmu 3 years). The place name was also written as "Nishikori".
