① Kagoshima-ken Kimotsuki-gun Kinkou-chou Origin of the Kamikawa. In the Kamakura period the name of the place with a record in the notation "Kamikawa". The place name was also written as "Kanonogawa" and there was pronunciation of Kanokawa.

② Topography . Kagoshima-ken Akune-shi From the Kamikawa gate of the gate division system that was in the Edo period at the beginning. The gate name is from Ishinomaki Shrine and Orirogawa.
