① Originated from the vicinity of Shizuoka-ken Izu-shi (formerly Kano). A place name with a record since the Heian period. Gunma-ken Shibukawa-shi Kano (Kano) in Tsukuda's Akagi-cho is a transit point. It was in Azuchi Momoyama period in the same place.

② Origin of Ishikawa-ken Suzu-shi Nojie-cho (formerly Kano). A place name with a record in the notation of "leaves" during the Warring States Period. The place name was also written as "Kano." In Ishikawa-ken Suzu-shi telling that he called it in the Edo period.
