Sumihara 【炭原】2 The Japanese surnames etymology dictionary.

Kagoshima-ken , Aichi-ken .

Kagoshima-ken Kagoshima-shi Genichi Tanuki citizen of Kikuchi Yukimi. A place name with a record since the Kamakura period. There was Tarounmon gate in the same place in the Edo period.

Shizuoka-ken Fujinomiya-shi was in the Kamakura period. Last name was also written as "Tanaka". 田抜 Tanuku reference.

Shizuoka-ken Fujinomiya-shi Inokohata 's Tanuki Lake was established in 1935. Formerly called Tanpachi.
