Originated from Shizuoka-ken Shimada-shi . A place name with a record since the Kamakura period.

Ibaraki-ken Mito-shi Origin of Shimada Town. Place name with a record since the North / South morning era.

Mie-ken Kuwana-shi Origin of Shimada. Place name with a record in Shimada's notation during the Northern and Morning Era.

Ishikawa-ken Hakusan-shi Origin of Kami-Shimada Town. The place name which we called "Shimada Yu" in the Muromachi Period. Ishikawa-ken Hakusan-shi There is a tradition in the French Buddha town.
